CarmenHelp Mend a Friend:
Carmen's and Chase’s Sad Tales

At first glance, this ten month old kittie, now named Carmen, looks perfectly healthy. After weeks of medical attention, and of course, love from everyone here at the SPCA, she now is beginning to recover comfortably and safely. Thanks to the SPCA of Westchester Vet staff, a bullet from her leg and a pellet gun bullet from her stomach are being treated. It’s hard to believe that one month ago she came in as a frightened stray with two life threatening wounds, left to fend for herself. Carmen is a true survivor, but she still needs your help! Although she is mending well, she still needs further medical care to ensure she will be able to live a happy and healthy life. Please donate to the Mend a Friend fund, and help raise the money needed to get Carmen on her road to a full recovery!

Chase
Chase is a beautiful, young, male Labrador Retriever that was surrendered to the shelter by his owner, who could not handle his energetic, playful personality. Looking into his eyes, it’s not difficult to imagine that he would be eager to run after a ball or a frisbee with a special someone, but Chase has hip dysplasia and urgently needs medical treatment to correct the condition. We’re trying to help this happy-go-lucky guy, who’s full of energy and affection, be able to do the things he loves to do.
